SPIRITUAL BOUQUETS IN SUPPORT OF OUR FUTURE PRIESTS

“HERE I AM LORD, I COME TO DO YOUR WILL.”  PSALM 40
The CWL is asking you to support the Ordinandi’s (soon-to-be ordained priests). Our future priests will need our prayers and support for the work they have to do to spread the Good News. Our support is made in the form of a Spiritual Bouquet gathered by the members of the CWL.. There will be 10 who will be ordained studying at St. Augustine’s Seminary.

A  SPIRITUAL BOUQUET is an offering of Masses, Communions, Rosaries, Stations of the Cross, Eucharistic Adorations, Sacrifices, Novenas and other forms of prayers offered by a person for an intention, this being for the seminarians studying at St. Augustine’s Seminary who will be ordained priests and who will make their vows in 2011.

These offerings are not paid offerings but prayers and devotions done and offered by a person (such as personally attending mass (s) one offered for an intention. The Ordinandi’s of 2010 were very appreciative of the prayers they received and the Ordinandi’s of 2011 are excited on receiving theirs.

Each candidate is given a scroll to keep, showing the Spiritual bouquet they got of prayers from the Catholic community.

There are sign-up sheets in the hall.  Come in for a coffee and offer your spiritual support to our future Priests.

SUGGESTION BOX

Thank You to LES WATTS of the Knights of Columbus whose skillful craftsmanship can be witnessed in the beautiful NEW Suggestion Box that he built and generously donated to the Parish.

The suggestion box is situated to the left as you enter the vestibule from the front doors of the church and was created to allow parishioners the opportunity to anonymously provide their input into matters that concern the interest and or improvement of YOUR church.

At this time, we welcome and encourage suggestions regarding fundraising initiatives.  Papers and pencils are provided for your convenience.  If you wish for a response, please indicate your name and telephone number.  We want to hear from YOU…don’t be shy to express your thoughts and ideas!

PRE-EDGE PROGRAM

Lifeteen and Edge are excited to announce the start up of the “pre-Edge” program. All children Grade’s 3, 4 and 5 are invited to join our “pre-EDGE” program.

The program will run simultaneously with our “EDGE” program on Friday evenings from 7-9pm. No registration is required and there is no cost for the program.

Lifeteen, Edge and “pre-Edge” offer an environment of fellowship with other young Catholics from the community and create opportunities for ongoing faith formation.

If you would like additional information, please see the bulletin board in the hall or contact Bernadette Francavilla or Bev Rennette Main at the parish office.
