- As followers of Jesus Christ, and as full members of the Roman Catholic Church, we, the parish community of St. John Vianney, joyfully proclaim our saviour risen. Through prayer, and sacramental celebration of life in Jesus, we join as co-creators in his mission of justice and peace, through the power of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God.

ALTAR SERVERS (ACOLYTES)

CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy of the Word ministry is called to serve the parish community by proclaiming God's Word to our children in a fun and participatory manner that is more captivating for them.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
This Ministry of the Eucharist is responsible for assisting the clergy with the distribution of the body and blood of our Lord at the Mass.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS TO THE SICK & HOMEBOUND
This Ministry of the Eucharist is responsible for assisting the clergy with the distribution of the body of our Lord to those that are sick and/or homebound.

LECTORS
This Ministry of Lector is called to serve the parish community by proclaiming God's word at the Mass and other celebrations.

MUSIC MINISTRY
The Lifeteen Band
Meets on Tues. from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., & will start rehearsals on Sept.15th. The band provides the music ministry for our Saturday evening Lifeteen Mass beginning on September 19th. Young people from Grades 9 & up who wish to audition for the Lifeteen Band in vocals, guitar, percussion or keyboard, or train as a sound technician are invited to contact Marilyn at 726-8007, ext. 121.
The St. John Vianney Choir
The music ministry for the 9:30 and 11:30 Sunday Masses, as well as special Masses throughout the year including Christmas & Easter. We rehearse every Wed. from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., & rehearsals will begin Sept. 16th. If you wish to join the choir, please join us in the loft on Wed. or contact Marilyn at 726-8007, ext. 121
USHERS
The ushers are called to serve the parish community by assisting parishioners to their seat, and performing the collections at all Masses and other celebrations.

WELCOMING COMMITEE
The Welcoming commitee is called to serve the parish community by offering a warm welcome to all new parishioners, visitors, and guests. They assist by answering questions about our parish community as well providing registration information.

THE CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE
The Catholic Women's League of Canada is a powerful vehicle representing more than 100,000 Catholic women expressing their concerns and acting upon issues of the present time.
To a member, the League is a gift of faith, friendship, leadership development, support and affirmation.
The League is the blueprint for all Catholic women. Through standing committees, members feel the pulse of what is happening in church and society. The resolutions process promotes the rights and dignity of all persons.
The League gives members the opportunity to serve as Beatitude women ' For God and Canada '.
Together we share our gifts and watch wonderful works happen.
The Catholic Women's League of Canada is an organization that contributes to the life and vitality of the church, family and community, both at home and abroad.
The Objects of the League shall be to unite Catholic women of Canada :
- to achieve individual and collective spiritual development.
- to promote the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- to exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life.
- to protect the sanctity of human life.
- to enhance the role of women in church and society.
- to recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere.
- to uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world.
- to contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.

THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUSThe Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Family Fraternal Organization with over 1.7 million members in nine countries. It is the largest lay order in the Roman Catholic Church and has been described by the late Pope John Paul II as the “right arm of the Church”. This comment was surely initiated after His Holiness witnessed the works of the Order in the areas of Church, Community, Family, Youth and Council.
