St. John Vianney Parish Community
As followers of Jesus Christ, and as full members of the Roman Catholic Church, we, the parish community of St. John Vianney, joyfully proclaim our saviour risen. Through prayer, and sacramental celebration of life in Jesus, we join as co-creators in his mission of justice and peace, through the power of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God.

FAREWALL FR. ISAAC...WELCOME FR. BIJU

Fr. Issac will soon be returning to India to resume teaching.

The pastoral care of our parish will remain entrusted to the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), a religious order whose origins are in India and which is now active in 24 countries.

As of Wednesday May 18th, our new Pastor will be Fr. Biju Kannampuzha, CMI.  Fr. Biju was ordained to the priesthood on December 29, 2001 and served as the pastor of Christ the King Parish in India until he arrived in Canada in 2005.  He was then appointed as the Associate Pastor of St. Patrick’s and St. Lawrence churches in Hamilton, ON.  Fr. Biju is presently the Chaplain of St. Joseph’s Villa long-term care home in Dundas, ON.  The parish will also be getting a new Associate Pastor, also a CMI, who has not yet been named.  Fr. Jose will be staying on.

Fr. Glass has been re-assigned to assist Fr. McDevitt at St. Mary’s starting in July.  Let us wish Fr. Issac and Fr. Glass every success in their new endeavors, and welcome Fr. Biju to his new home and assure him of our prayerful support.

PLEASE JOIN US TO BID FAREWELL TO FR. ISSAC.   CAKE AND COFFEE WILL BE SERVED IN THE PARISH HALL NEXT WEEKEND AFTER THE 11:30 AM MASS.
